Held to twirl between thumb and finger
citrus fruit whose oil does linger,
will it stand up to the order of the day
be peeled neatly down its sides or fray...

A question of thick rinds to contain
slivers of juicy meat, on the main
inclusions into a painted baste
squeezed thoroughly to a pulpy waste...

orange lanterns glow in the dark
contrasted to unsightly knotted bark,
solar tints of a pastel cache
In brevity this color is displayed.
