Classify

I’ve lost my touch of classify
That once to me was apple pie
Each thing a world within its core
Has now dissolved in evermore

For if you float beyond your shell
Beyond the stars and wishing well
You will see a faultless sea
Of everything that’s meant to be.

That’s not to say you will not pass
Beyond this sky this home of grass
Nor can you turn each moment’s grime
Into a better moment’s time

To me our sail upon the sea
Is nothing but a sip of tea?
A note plucked out an endless tune
A grain within an endless dune

To classify eternity
You have to sail an endless sea

It's always a pleasure to read you Seymour, love the way this flows.

Yes yes, to realize we are the microcosm of the macrocosm. Very nice poem, with solid philosophical implications.

and i'm certain that if i drive into those trees, it would make less of a mess, than she's made of me...

Ah! Words to live by, Sey:

Sy,
I enjoyed sailing with this all the way through, and chuckled when I read the end.  How can one classify an "endless" sea?  I like your wit.
