Head still in a net
Running against the rain
Today she sprints for a little corner
The chance to think again

Silently combing her hair
Grazing her chin on the wall
Tonight she watches the rain come down
And the clink for the factory stove

But Mary wants
And hesitates
And watches the rain coming down

He'll be wet
And soon be set
At a family meal
Set down

Although I really don't get the message of the poem, the imagery is excellent! Grover.

It is a nice idea Nightshade

I never thought of a legend of Mary and her courting.

She exists in my mind and the scheming is nice scheming
