~*~

If I could give you just one lazy day
I would give you all summer long
drenched in buckets of sunshine
running through the sprinklers whirl
misting rainbows around the lawn.

I would plant a garden with your favorite flowers
and leave you with the simple things that matter
I would bring you lemonade
freshly squeezed
from the stand on the corner
where children pass the time,

And we had all day to rock in the shade
remembering when, with our eyes closed
without saying a word
when you were the warmest night
and the only star in my sky.

If I had to do it over again
I would give you, all summer long.

Hey Bluesy, how’ve you been?
Your new picture looks great!

I loved the poem!

It would, be nice to be able to
do it all over again.

I truly envy those, who have
been given a second chance
at happiness.

I hope you never stop writing Bluesy!

Take Care,
Richy

Ah Bluesy this is just beautiful!
Just what we need in the middle of this cold winter..
thoughts of summer, warm weather and love.
Speaking of which....love your new pic!

(smiles) Yay! God Bless You, sweet friend, I can't wait for the summer again as I wish twelve months a year was spring and summer alternating with some trees of autumn and snow blanketing areas! Yay, kaleidoscope of seasons, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Lori, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

a very sweet poem, Lori, very tender..and I am wishing for one of those lazy summer days myself...and if it doesn't  come soon I may  fly out just to spend what would seem like summer to me, with you.

Love the new picture, it suits your name.

This reads a touch different to me than others
Perhaps it’s just my Nature,

This reads forlorn to me,
Regretting time unknowingly lost till,

Then there’s no time at all.

I’m there doing that summer now,
Because

Then there’s no time at all.

Wow!
If I could give you just one lazy day
I would give you all summer long
drenched in buckets of sunshine
running through the sprinklers whirl
misting rainbows around the lawn.

This poem was wonderful and very pleasing to read. I think if the men were allowed to faint they would have. I liked the capture above. Kind of reminds me of a kid growing up, a very warm capture!! Beautiful work my friend.

I was looking out the window earlier thinking, "if all that snow was sand...".  Wake me when it's spring ok??
