Hi folks..I need to start clearing my clutter again. Bear with me? I haven't written in quite some time. *sigh*

There is no one steadfast enough
to stand against the storm that I am.
Too many nights have passed
and without the pressure
of your voice upon my soul
I cannot resist temptation
to try finding you anywhere I may.
There have been glimpses of you
in other's hands
moments filled with you in other eyes
but it doesn't last
because you seem to vist
like a ghost
then leave me lying there alone.
I can't find myself again
through the haze of things
I muddy my reality with.
I'm addicted
it seems
to being addicted.
My biggest fear
(or realization)
is that there is no one steadfast enough
to stand against the storm that I am.
I am not a poem anymore
and there is nothing rare about me.
Why would you stay here
staring at an empty painting
that bleeds silently
without color in its soul?
You must enjoy the grey
and I suppose I could believe
if you stand there long enough
that you are steadfast.
