In Your Poetic Mind

0 posted 2004-02-08 11:39 PM

My dreams have run
ones that stood   melt in
aching splendor
to a river that never
stops bending

memories   waited until we fell
strange it was, to see him stare
into my eyes, into my soul
journals - long
his soul taken by scarlet infinity

Would you meet my words?  {I wonder how}
greet my exposure to air
with  snow in summer

When I woke,
the mist had settled --
October smelled  old --
trees tangled   weeping
verses of leaves   tenderly waiting
for touch of life

still darkness and night  tide
the escape where rivers join
& rain falls with broken peace

in some gentle ripple -  footsteps
remember   your  spirit
in lost words

~~
it is late now

earth holds my longing
   the sea-roses --
born  of night & silence
tumbling lost  in summer’s shadows

my last words left of you

floating   on  wind

~~
In Loving Memory

~~**~~
You read before you words I write-
See before you my soul,
spinning on  waves of thought,
painting memories of time(JR)

Congratulations on your 7000th post!

This is so intensely melancholic, so beautifully written, the heart listens in suspension!

Love, Margherita

As always Lauren, I enjoy your words more than I have words to accurately express.  So...cool write...will have to do.

*sigh* your words transcend me...
Im always the tardy moth these days...
but I wanted to say Congrats ...
this place wouldnt be the same for me without you here and I would lack so if I'd have never gotten to read your gorgeous poetry.

for the tongue’s fire may devour the world or may light the way.

Nice

Only problem for me was I still tend to read the words

Hitting a keyboard and brackets made me wonder why, when you have the strength and vision do you need to confuse those who would read or is it the business model that if it is not made different then [p-eople } will think it is easy.
