They Were All A Part Of Me

The shock I was dealt today
As I browse my website
My disappearing pages
Had caused me such a fright

Around two hundred poems
Disappeared from view
Who could be at culprits
I blame the people at Yahoo

Here was my heart and soul
Poems from past years
Now huge blank spaces
As I click and nothing appears

Yahoo directory I've searched
Hope's Hideaway is listed
With poems now removed
From off pages I know existed

As they took over at geocities
I showed faith in Yahoo
Until they took my pages
I am left wondering what to do

I emailed Yahoo with inquiries
Help I would appreciate
I want my pages returned
Its taken me six years to create

My poems, profile and pictures
Yes they are all a part of me
Yahoo ask for patience
As yet it still remains a mystery

Thank you ARH , I have the poems saved on floppies , but each of those pages missing all had graphics and backgrounds matching each poem .... the only poems that survive on my webpages are the ones uploaded on the space my IP provided

I'm so sorry, I hope thry help you find your treasures,,,I'm very new to all of this,,,my best friend Ringo gave me a blank pagrd book for x-mas,,,,and I put all my poems into it. I'd feel horrible if anything happened to it,,,moreso because as a gift it means so much to me,,but, so too, my treasures would be gone,,

Thank you for your reply Michelle , yes I too have the poems saved in print and on discs , but it was the way each of the poetry pages were set up with the appropiate graphics and such that will be difficult to replace

Thank you Ericc for your caring reply , thank goodness I have the poems saved , its just all the time spent and the work I had done in creating the backgrounds themes that matched each poem
, I am still hoping Yahoo can solve the mystery and come up with a solution

Thank you for reminding me..I just went to mine and changed or added a poem..I got a warning about a month ago to make an addition or it would soon be deleted...but they only allow the site to be accessed a few times an hour..so that made it hard..I was trying to delete all those pictures etc that I use to use on pip to go with my poems..but since they dont allow them to be linked anymore there is no sense keeping them in the file manager..and that will give me more space.

Anyway..they want us to pay for space...

Thanks Maureen for the info , yes I remember when they took over from geocities they said they would start charging , these poetry pages have been there for the past three or four years wheh they provided free space and all my recent pages have been uploaded onto space provided by my Internet provider , those are the only pages that are still there
