where the wild flowers grow

Silence chills my bones,
like dry touching,
goosebumps down my spine.

A ghost in flight, the cold
glides in a tender breeze,
I can see the air I breathe.

My heartbeat causes the earth to quake,
I still feel the coolness of your tears,
An axe upon my nerves,
a noose wrapped around my lungs.

I have seen you once again,
my loving apparition,

run your fingers through my skin.

An axe upon my nerves

Great line---
Wonderful way to say it, I think --

machiner

God said "fear me"
rules say "obey me"
hearts say "protect me"
minds ask "what's a dictum?"
It's no wonder we are all insane
