O’ would it be that I with angels vie,
To gaze beyond a midnight Kansas sky,
Lo’ not to dream, but view with wakened eye-
Forevermore, with mortal lens espy.

I wish it so, that I would pierce the night,
Upon the summer blaze of Persiedes,
To touch upon far side of welkin’s light,
Where gods alone o’er unseen realm preside.

Polaris and the Southern Cross to merge
As vastness of the Milky Way would shrink
Until the firmament and earth converge
And I a mortal man would cross sky’s brink.

O’ would it be, that I a man might see,
Beyond what is, to see eternity.

I think you already do.

And I? in order that darkness would reign
where stars and thoughts would reach the realm
I would stay myself, and from rising abstain
while the master stands the helm.

Bravo!

like Martie said... "I think you already do"

Recently,  I was away from the city lights
and was able to see so much of the grandeur
above me in the skies....

You took me there,  thanx Tim.

Tim,
you shine like the very stars themselves

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown
