In The Manner of You

I know I question "yesterday"
for I am a collector of meaning
and surround myself in words,
listening for the flow of memory,
that touch that keys me into you.

There is always that kiss,
the one that parts the truth,
leaving passion up for bids.

Home alone, I draw you
standing before me, circling.
Your sphere of influence
always of interest,
pulling me to your center
needing your warmth,
hoping for more.

And when there, across from you,
I watch your lips move,
your eyes talk
and your body communicate
the unsaid.

Maybe it is wishful thinking.
But, you have it, you know.
My heart...
It rests with you.

M

Ooooh Maureen.....now this I love!
I hereby claim this piece a 'keeper'.
Into my library it goes!

M - I haven't been around for a few days and am trying to catch up with my reading a little.  This, well, this was so warm and loving.  And, so beautifully and softly written!

(smiles) Wow! Sphere of influence, I love that comparison, after all, a sphere is not marking a territory, just a general interest in a territory, and that's how love should be treated, belonging and sharing but not usurping! (big angel hugs) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Maureen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

MzWynter~
If your words can make me feel the warmth, AND THEY DO ...
I think you may just do the trick of keeping you warm too~

Maureen ... this is simply beautifully graceful~

Woohoo nakdthoughts. Love this. Now I am glad I stopped in to read some poetry this morning...if I had missed this I'd have missed a masterpiece. Bravo my friend.
