Candy Kids

the candy maker pulls taffy
until glossy, long and tender--
yet tough at the same time

the children watch

the children learn

the candy maker
beats the taffy
until it is supple
until it is yielding
then he leaves it to harden

the children toughen

the children harden.

Wow, I'll not look at the taffy-pull at Myrtle Beach in the same light again.

I never really cared for the taffy here, though.  Maybe it's "too" tough...

Creative write!

(sigh) Awwwwwwww, but I love my taffy soft and chewy, yay! (does happy taffy dance) Hehehe, I'm still a candy boy at heart, God Bless You, this is wonderfully wise and thought-provoking, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Grover, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Hey that’s what Tootsie Pop has to do,
so that Baby Ruth, and the other Sugar Babies,
can learn...

I know, that was a dud (Milk Dud).

Enjoyed Grover.
Thanks!

hmm.... i got lost in thought
from reading this ... kinda of
has me thinking that i could
say that's what happened to my
heart, but it would be too kind
to call him the "candy maker"

:-)  thought provoking, indeed.
