Wondering why the night closed in
Wishing for moths to quiet the din
Savoring times that flashed light within
Traveling clouds to circle the spin

Wishing for space to open the sigh
Worrying words will never be nigh
Feathery whispers softly sped by
Wondering eyes closed tight as they cry

Wouldn’t it seem that night won the fray
Orators stood but had nothing to say
Thoughts fought the feelings at bay
Wouldn’t it seem the feel were of clay

Didn’t I wonder just what would come out
Sometimes I think it will all come about
Frightening shadows have way too much clout
Don’t you just wonder what this is all about?

Drip drip drip go away I said
Slip slip slip isn’t it time
