Of Trees The tree grows as deep as high But it cannot fly It tests the air and moisture store But cannot fare the core. And I pursue the whale by sail Yet cannot do the bail The wind turns in eddy pools And churns me like a fool I’ve cast the search to fantasy Agony and ecstasy The bells that toll ferry my soul That is my very goal. Forgive my arrows vanity Perhaps insanity I’ve courtship all my eye of I And sip upon the sigh. Yet still I wish upon the star And wonder how they are. |
