~*~

Butterflies flutter
a little fishnet
put together
strung up tight
a restless wanderer
weaves it's way
through the canyons of my mind
pulled off the shoulder
buttoned down the back
dressed to the nines
becoming
in basic black
sipping slowly
red wine in winter
warms the chill
powdered glitter
like sequins shine
sprinkles in the moonlight
cool nerves on edge
slip from the stars
anticipating you
appeases me
as candles burn
softening the glow
off setting white linen
highlighting the darkness
in shadows play
perfecting the contrasts
appeals to me in your presence.

How I wish I could write with such saturating words!  This is you...so evident of you, from what I have seen in the past month.  Enjoy your style!

(smiles) Yay! Awwwwwwww, this is beautiful, sweet friend, I imagined all the clouds of butterflies all swimming through the canyons and ceating rainbows upon the sunbeams, yay! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Lori, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Ooh, you do look fine in black! Blue's nice, but black -- wow!

I like this poem very much...your introspective side gets a positive workout here, and this one's a pleasure to read.

I think I like this side of you...dressed to the nines
and black was never basic to me...

smile.

I believe you did, Lady Blue.

So glad I popped in for this one.
