I need your help with these furry toys
Give me some names for these little boys
The score is ten to two right now
And I ran out of boy's names WOW

Number one = TAYLOR
Born last night in glow of Moon
A smart little fellow he is
And while he rests in early Sun
Mother DeVine is giving a kiss

Number two and three = AARON and ANDREW
Two little fellows born yesterday
Look how they are standing proud
When Mom takes a step aside from them
Both will protest in voices real loud

Number four and five = TRAVIS and TREVOR
Aren't these adorable
No twins are looking the same
I hope my friends you can come up
For both with a suitable name

Number six and eight = TRIGGER and BOUNCE
She is a bit of a slummy Mom
And didn't clean them properly
But in a few days his filthy coat
Will be shining white, you'll see

Number nine (left)= CHRISTOPHER
Sea provided my second girl
Don't you think ZIGGY suits her well?
And if she's anything like her Mom
She'll give me pleasure, I can tell

With AUGUSTIN and TOERAG
The boys are counting ten
But number eleven has just been born
I'll show his pic tomorrow then

So if you could give me some names for these guys
You'll probably relief me from a lot of sighs
Five ewes to go, but they're not due yet
Meaning that I can go earlier to bed

Well now...Titia...I was just reading this when my husband walked in (his name is TAYLOR)and he fell in love with all those pretty babies...and then come to think of it, Martie, if it is spelled with a y instead of an ie, is a boys name.  So there you go...Taylor and Marty!

Oh, Titia, they are adorable. Can you please name two after my grandsons, Aaron and Andrew?? They would love it if you did....and so would their proud Gramma.

Should you need names,
Christopher could do
my first grandson
would fit this time too...

You've already a Michael
and I've one of those too!
as soon as my grandchild
comes, I'll do

a list of more names
hopefully suitable, too!

Oh, they're so darling!  We have five lambs, but they're not as cute as yours.  What kind of sheep are yours?  Ours are Barbados Blackbelly.  We named the girls this spring Quinn and Bunny, and the boys Tigger, Abram, and Bounce.

Thanks for sharing these gooorrgeous pictures!

Are they maybe Icelandic sheep?

Are the black and white ones Jacob's sheep?

Thanks friends, as you see some of them have gotten a name. I already had a Marty once, can't use the name twice.

Rosemary: these are the oldest Dutch breed called Drenthen Heathsheep. They are multi-coloured, so you never can tell wich colour the lamb will have and except the really black ones, they'll all get a white fleece when growing up and the original colour will only show on the head and legs.
It's a very rare breed (unfortunately they've mixed them with other breeds a lot)and we (with a group of people around the country) are breeding back the typical original breed. It's a weathered sheep (if that's the right word). It can stay outdoor all year 'round and the lambs are being born in open field.

I've looked up the Barbados Blackbelly, it's a beautiful sheep too, like the colours.

Titia, I enjoyed this soooo much. All of them are so cute and soft eyed.
To celebrate all these blessings, I would call the light haired CHAMPAGNE.
What peaceful scenery you convey!
Love and hugs. Margherita

It's that time of year again!  Oh Titia ... I just want to jump through the screen and grab a hold of these sweeties for a great big cuddle. I adored the pictures and the poem.

If you still need some more names, the only boy's names coming to my mind right now are my nephews, Travis & Trevor.  Thanks for such a sweet post, I'm glad I caught it this morning.

Give one of them a hug for me please?

Best wishes,
/Kit

There's a break in deliveries right now, next one's will take another week or two I think.

Titia, yours was the first read early this morning and I kept coming back to catch the names chosen. My, they are beautiful sheep.
It must be so satisfying raising them.

Titia,
Thanks for sending these cuties this way.
We pasture cattle and have no young this year as we sold the ferocious bull.  I'm so glad you posted this.  As a teen, I raised Suffolk, Shropshire, Hampshires for 4-h and grandpa had a straggly OLD merrino.  The Drenthen and Barbados Black are new to me.  Glad to learn about them.  Happy Spring.
