I’ve understood feelings,
Deciphered these words
Pages spent turning,
Incomplete chapter’s without cures.
And so you’ve gone
Released yesterday,
I thought you’d come back home
Miles between ourselves
Slipstreams of impossibilities
Boats lost on a voyage to a limited hell
You hated my face; it’s yours I’m missing
A difference in pain, I couldn’t tell
I’m falling out of love
I can’t find a roadmap
This mind has misinterpreted enough
If I could remember what I’ve gotten
I’d know what I’ve had.
There’s a store in town,
Sold-out of forgiveness
There’s a drug dealer near, I couldn’t buy redemption
They asked me to never come back around.
Weighted down a long thought
Stow-away on forgetful wishes
I still notice you’re gone
Today is just disappearing
If decision is right,
I want it wrong
You’re light years away,
I can’t see the clearing
Angels juggling a soul,
Prices held high for a real prayer
Your face still absent here in the cold
Bankrupt on missing, I can’t pay the fare
I can’t say I blame you
I’ll dream I could
Glass promises shattered through
If you only knew
I’m sick of writing every line about you.
