where the wild flowers grow

0 posted 2004-01-24 08:46 PM

The sky is burning,
angels ashes cover
the pavement below
my feet.
As if the truth
were hovering as a god
above the flames, the trees moan
when the wind
strikes them
in an adverse way.

And crawling
beside the eyes of winter,
are the tongues of
those who suffer,
screaming for
forgiveness, only
to be denied.

The clouds melt
as the sun goes
mad with power.

So like the flesh
that creates a heaven
and a hell.
Suffer my
angels,
cry the tears of
the betrayer.

ive read your poetry often, but never responded because i just couldnt find the right words...
but even if i fumble..im going to say that i find your writing very powerful.
...it has an impact that grabs the reader by the collar and pulls them in...very close up look at strong steadfast emotion...

..you always manage to knock me down..even if im too shy to tell you

A note to muted...you are not alone.  She often leaves many of us without words...

More than often.

It is the power ... the moment portrayed
that carries within such depth and awe of
what is given...thereby being somewhat
humbled and speechless....  well done.

This, sweet lady, was bliss for me to read:

So like the flesh
that creates a heaven
and a hell."

(not that the message is a cheery one--but it just so succinctly summed up one of the major tenets of my beliefs it gave me joy to read it from someone else--like finding family. )

Suffer my
angels,
cry the tears of
the betrayer.

and that is a perfect wrap.

Excellent.

*bows to superior talent*

This was extremely powerful, in a way it was almost disturbing, but I love it.

this was powerfully written, drawing picture perfect images, you have a great inventive tool that is profound.  When reading you, your words pop out and talk to me as if your right there...terrific
