Heaven Speaks Again

I am right in the middle of my quiet storm
Resting deep within this day I've awakened to
Trying to deny the sigh that the dawn has brought along
Here, where no one knows I'm wishing I were there with you...

It's a lighter sense of grieving when you just can't touch
And, you just learn to dwell so well in what was then
Out of no where I was somewhere when your memory took my heart
And, I was simply blessed to hear that heaven speaks again...

For, I know cloudy and I know the rain that it brings
I never dreamed the sun would ever be on my side
I was reminded that the heavens wanted to speak once again
And, I embraced your face in what the angels had to provide...

Ever changing were the winds and their extreme direction
Leaving me in such wondrous when they were done
The miles were many but I could see as if you were close
And, with you in the distance I so wanted to run...

If I could have actually touched you would I have gotten to stay
Or, would real life have found it's path to get in the way
Oh, I do know the sound when pure heartache is found
But, I also hear when the heavens are on their way down...

I have you right here in the middle of my quiet storm
Where missing you is so bitter cold yet so very warm
I have the footprints that this moment shows just where I've been
And, at least, I got to hear heaven speak again...

(big angel hugs) Oh Saunni, this made me tear up as so many of your heartfelt poems do, dearest friend, I too feel numb when I see the spirits of my loved ones who came to pass linger above me, yet that's all I really need so I know I can feel and captivate their guidance! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, you are special to us all, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Saunni, thank you for sharing!
