It comes as no surprise, nor public interest

When borrowed time prevails our children

“Can you see me or hear me?” they scream

Locked away in cradles with no arms to redeem

Falling to their knees in dreadful pain

With crosses each bearing their names

Tiny mortal tombs discernible

Paralyzed mouths gasping, never to heal

Trapped in human straight jackets

Numb, screaming silently, “I can’t move”

As their voices drift silently in the distance…

“Would someone listen?”

“Would someone please help me….feed me, hug me”

Forlorn and left behind…hide away from humanity

When hope is torn away by vanity

Wretched rain, with reasons to pretend

Listen to their stories exposed like open wounds

Ignored and hidden away to decompose

Can’t pretend not to sense their doom

Like a shot in early morning silence

We should ring out our opinions

For research, awareness and assistance

It’s high time we unfold our sedated earth

Every child has a precious and valuable worth

Written after watching a documentary on Children with Cerebral Palsy

Every child has a precious and valuable worth

But too many never realize... so some children never know. *S*

I enjoyed this thought-provoking write. *S*

Your words as usual Leej resonate with insightful truth...they are forgotten children...thankfully people like Neil Young..(himself with two sons with cerbral palsy)..has the Bridge school benefit concerts...where virtualy every big name in music has played to raise money for children with cerebral palsy....

How lucky we are that we have been blessed with good health...

Important write LeeJ..

thank you...

Goldenrose.

Lee, this is so sad, glad you have brought us some awareness to it, when not effected by these circumstances we don't relise. How lucky we all are to be healthy and live a full life.

Sincerely
Rick
