The moon tips a half smile tonight
Like an old friend, visiting in earnest right
And I wonder what lifts the light on the horizon
Rising deepest blue and studded of a netherworld Poseidon

Three flare, the jewels of halftime sky
Telling in their faint and fire slight the reasons why
Against the prism of an endless sea of space
Showing off the bloomers of another concepts place

For not, the galaxy of rippled paragon
Too old and wise to conquer while the lights are on
In signal to me here, a dream I once held tight
And so I tip my half smile back into the face of night

Tipping my half smile back at you Kathleen~
It's one of those nights to be sure!

Kathleen~
This is just lovely ... and this morning, while verifying a word played in a Scrabble game, I came across - Labrador blue ...
this poem reminded me of that descriptively deep color~

Thank you for sharing the beauty of your thoughts here~
