Apologies All Sound The Same Will try to catch up tomorrow If not I will drop you a line I have heard this all before Its been said time after time Another one of his let downs Later he will try to explain Saying his week was busy Apologies all sound the same Am I the last thing on his mind It seemed that way to me Another promise is broken I receive yet another apology Each one repeats like an echo Apologies sent with regrets What was he trying to justify When I am the one he forgets Hope©2004 |

good write...and when someone gives me an excuse for breaking a promise, I am always reminded of the following classic quote: "An excuse is simply a lie...wrapped in the skin of laziness" |
