On A Journey To The Unknown

I Remind Myself
~ By Sue ~

It is no secret as to how hard it has been
Just to get back up on my feet again
Sometimes, it seems so useless to even try
Maybe, my hopes are just too high

A year it seems has been more than enough
Sometimes I think it is just way too tough
I think about going back to him one more time
But then, maybe I have just lost my mind

Then, I remind myself, I am not a quitter
I am sure it would not be any better
Than it was when I left him back there
And he showed how little he did care

So, I think I will continue to struggle on
Living here by myself, out on my own

Dear Sue, this is so heartfelt! My heart goes out to you.
Listen deep within and you will know what's best, I think it's just a moment and it will pass ..... because you are strong. And to go back to someone who does not care doesn't seem a good idea. There might be someone new for you!
Love and hugs. Margherita

"out on my own"

Those are the key words Sue.  You are doing it on your own. It might seem hopeless or too tiring right now....but believe me, you will reap the rewards. Hang in there sweet lady. hugs, Chris

Has he changed...
Will he ever change...
Why not try someone new...
He had his chance with you...James

Hi Sue, you're not a quitter indeed and it's a good thing to remind yourself fromt time to time from where you came 'bout a year ago.
I'm still so proud of you, taking that brave step once, don't stumble back dear, please.
You'll manage, you've a lot of friends to support you here in the blue pages.

And I admire the way you transform your thoughts and feelings into poetry.
