Give Up Week

The tired has settled in
and the real me
must leave the fantasy behind.
The rainbows bend the wrong direction
and are far beyond my reach.
I am blindfolding myself to the outcome
worn from holding on, wishing
to slip away quietly.
I am no longer comfortable in my skin
and tired of pretending
that all will work out in the end.

"Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less."
(Will Moss)

Maureen -

You are an incredibly gifted poet, a wonderful person, and a great wit.  Hang in there, Lady.  There are so many people who receive so much inspiration from you.

BTW - Did you notice that John Kerry's wife almost looks as pretty as you?  When I saw her picture I immediately thought of you.  I doubt seriously she is as talented or as caring as you, as that would be a minor miracle.

Here's a hug for a great lady.

I can appreciate the sentiment.  Happiness can be very elusive and dodgey...

what a nice response Lj, probably one of the nicest I ever received, real or on net

No I haven't looked or noticed his wife, but I am doing "family/friendship" duty so much lately I barely have time to look  myself in the mirror and "ugghhhh" is the result of that.

I will have a peek  if she is online somewhere...

Most of my inspiration comes from reading others...

Thanks M,

elusive and dodgey...
Mark...too often thats'the case for me...

I often wonder if I had the chance if I would live my life over the same or make some drastic changes...
