I crossed that bridge today,
handed my keys over
An exit with no waves,
Tomorrow another false promise
It's just a matter of time,
before reality returns
Tonight I stepped out,
got in my car and rode
I remember her crying,
as she told me goodbye
I had to stand tall,
and not let the elders know
You remind me of that old hat,
a comfort around my mind
A broken home and many stories,
tell me and I'll listen
However old attachments linger,
that in itself scares me
You tell me how nonchalant he is,
and ask what you are doing wrong
However he is my friend too,
I can't do what she did to me
Maybe we'll commence if things change,
But I will never burn that bridge

good burning bridges is bad, and can cause people to lose their sanity.

It's not even about the situation but rather about the relation. I'm with dertah burning bridges causes insanity on soo many levels. I enjoyed this.
