Give a child their blanket,
To give teens a warm heart
Just love and live and be peaceful
Break your heart on heavens door

Just breath, and i'll be your saviour
If the world will cry for one day at a time
I will find peace, and rejoice in it.
Give all that you can
To be who you are,
this life will be never ending
and tears will often be shed.
Cry to the depths of the earth.
Shatter the already broken mirrors
And piece together your life.
A life that you believe to be perfect
Is a life thats close to hell.
Give me peace, give me love
take apart a broken wing
and figure out how to fly
take the knowledge the to end of the earth
and show them how to cry.
cry for love, and cry for hate.
die for love, and die for hate.
Smile at a sunset
Share your warmth with friends,
Be the person you want to be

i think i may be abel to guess what this was inspired by...?? it certainly sounds like "knocking on heavens door". it was alright, keep working on your writing.

it wasnt inspired by any song or anything like that. i was sitting on the net writing an email to my boyfriend, and i just had this huge rush to write. i dont think its a prize winning piece, but after all, poetry is just a beautiful form of expression, and thats how i look at it. you just have to accept how you write. i like this piece. it has a message if you can look beyond the purple writing. but thanks..............
