prayers that delay an answer

unbridle scarlet from the wooden post
that holds up the surreal stable scene;
she never needed a place to be tied down at.

the quiet sounds around this town
are the only conversations she knows,
and she holds them in her plumb patterned palm.

wasted excuses and unloaded baggage
keep scarlet safely seduced in man-made prisons;
she never needed a place to be confined in.

with her tear ducts four-leaf luck
she may be able to drown in her insecurity,
but what wisdom did wisemen wishe her?

ignored by those who chose to be forgotten,
she guids her hands grasping a gun;
she never needed an end to let her go.

now she has peace on an eternal lease,
paying the balance with more than her savings,
could heaven ever heal this hopeless one?

a cross on a hill covered her price
settiing her free to fulfill the forthcoming;
she just needed a saviour to be saved.

for once scarlet got what she prayed for...just later than she could use it.

now im alone, but not lonely like before

i think i followed this one, but ugh, it was a little hard to follow at times. with the words and what not. but i did like the parts i understood, which was the first half i guess. anyways. good job. dont forget your readers may not know where your going with the words you portray.  good work.

You never cease to amaze me. I love every second reading your poetry. Well-done.
