there was never such a time
when the night had seemed so young
the sun light invaded the horizon
and the clouds were as beautiful
as the sight i beheld that very moment
her tears would kiss the edge of the universe
as she walked along fading shoreline

the feeling was just so saturnine

i'd only wish i didn't get older
i could count the matches left in my pocket
the lingering smell of cigarette smoke
buried in my memory
raking my mind
trying to remember the times
i looked into your eyes
and saw the inside of myself
trying not to say what sounds good
was just much too hard for me i'm afraid
getting to know you was most important to me

one million words and one thousand steps along sunset
tracing a delicate finger around the rings of saturn
your smile could only lift me so high
before my clumsy words came crashing down
on a heart so delicate
staring at your retreating figure
and feeling alone once again
the feeling
it was so saturnine

the sun always dies young
when i am with you
my heart bleeds with the dying sun
streaked across the skyline
our footsteps on the shore swallowed whole
when the sun breathes a final breath

but the night had felt so calm
staring at your approaching figure
but feeling floaty once again
a delicate finger tracing constellations
in the void that was my soul
my sky and stars cover over me
cover over everything
the sting on my lips
from your passion left unreturned
my skin one with yours
tears that fell past the edge of the universe
to be brushed away by my clumsy touch
a feeling
that i feel only at night time
a feeling she wouldn't know for a lifetime

the feeling was just so saturnine

my God...

this is one of the best poems I have ever read.

I couldn't pick a line or two that stood out for me, it was every single word.

this is phenomenal
