this perfect picture is perfectly ruined
the water based paint washed away with tears.
my wishin's still searching for hints of
perfection hidden in your treasure trove of fears.
the painting's so faded, but faded is still something,
i can barely make out the two of us arm in arm, hand in hand;
matching smiles attaching memories worthwhile into my mind,
ones that are understood, ones that i misunderstand.
ive been writing in my journal everyday about us,
now even though there is no "us", i continue to write while gazing upon the painting.
my thoughts are bought for a small coin, a penny,
they are wonderings of what our direction is while im waiting.
have you found this entry? have you found this journal?
ive left it upon your bed everynight.
my writings not hiding away from your view,
new and uncovered in your brilliant light.
i need you to finish my thought and write in your own,
show me how you feel, what you think, where we'll go.
to understand what i can, and long for what i dont,
i hold you in my head, but your heart doesnt seem to know.

write these things on my heart
and show the things of which im confused!

for the truth has never been too overused!!

I liked this!! Communication is difficult--I know firsthand how it is--but your thoughts and emotions were clearly expressed in this. Hope you get a response soon.

I liked the first two lines of this the best, it really set the tone for the rest of the poem which I liked, nice work
