**This poem is dedicated to Jerry Matheny, my boyfriends dad, who just recently passed away... May God watch over you and your family!** I just dont understand why God had to take you now! You still have a son to raise, so just one question... How? How did you die, and why was it time? Your duty wasn’t finished, it was just starting to prime! Your son really needs you but you’re not here... Your somewhere above , watching his heart disappear! When i look at him, i see only you.. He misses you like crazy, but what's a 16 year old to do? I hope you realize what a strong son that you had... He’s trying his hardest to find happiness, but its just not the same.. Not the same without his dad! You were there for every baseball game.. Cheering him on, and yelling his name! You were a great dad and i still dont understand why... But we’ll all meet in heaven, so for now, its goodbye... Watch over him, Jerry and may you rest in peace... March 12, 1946- July 13, 2005 |
