Shed your mask tonight,
Beneath it you hide,
No breath is fresh,
Looking at others to chide,

Escape routes are few,
And you fight anew,
Blood cover soul,
Only conceived by so few,

Loveless souls have left,
And there is one rift,
Enough fright to move,
Millions of lives shift,

You spoke too soon,
Singing royal tunes,
God listens to you in the end,
And you reserved yourself then.

I speak insanity. I write fantasy. I sleep reality.

I like that..a nice strong beginning stanza.  Enjoyed this XeonoX.
