From a cradle to a casket

0 posted 2004-09-23 06:17 PM

smiles on every face

the joy was overwhelming

all hellos

i am standing

blank, silent

i see no one

then all at once they swarm

friends have come

hugs for each of them

nerves on edge

complete suspense

no knowledge of day

children like cattle

wait to be branded,

moved off

slow hands rub tired eyes

and hushed ears are bombarded with noise

am i ready?

growing weary of this place so soon

want to escape

turn to leave

pause and stare

there he is

i see him

and my heart smiles

Perhaps, this year wont be so bad

I believe that lovers should be tied together and thrown into the ocean in the worst of weather and left there to drownin their innocence
