A broken fool
An unmended mind

A lonley heart
A wasted soul

I'm drifting
Slipping away
Held on for so long

It's my time for farewell

I've waited to long
For something to change

Just when I think it does
It's not
Just when I've pulled out
I haven't

Have things ever gotten better
Or have they just gone worse
Am I so doomed
For my life to be such a curse

I can't hold on to what's not even there
I don't have someone to actauly care

I can't go on
This is killing me

What's left but for me to be miserable

Nothing to wait for
But disapointment

I would be lying to myself
If I said things would get better

Taunted by these thoughts
Swarmed with fear

Would they miss me
Or just not at all

I need to hold on to what I have
But what if I have nothing?

I liked this, very descriptive, I'm prolly not wrong in saying most of us have felt this way once or twice before...It's a hard thing to shake off.....Well done and keep writing.

It's been awhile, since I've seen the way, the candles light your face. It's been a while, but I can still remember just the way you taste! ~StainD

I know this feeling, and don't you hate when everyone is telling you that you don't have a right to be miserable.
well voiced.
I hear you.

Deeply emoted thoughts~
And yes, I too believe many of us have had these thoughts~
Things do eventually change ...
sometimes, just when we think they will not~

We were meant to live for so much more have we lost ourselves?
Maybe redemption has stories to tell maybe forgiveness is right where you fell.

I liked this one, especially these lines:

I need to hold on to what I have
But what if I have nothing?

I especially enjoyed the power of those lines. Good job.

Love is giving him the ability to break your heart...but trusting him enough to know he won't.

indeed, everyone's felt this way. that doesn't mean undermining your pain is cool.  i dunno though, life sucks sometimes, but other times it's beautiful.  i for one amm willing to try to ignore the crap moments for the amazing ones. keep writing. feel better
