Alone, chewin on a copper wire,
The sound of a lawnmower in my head.
My childhoods over,
but my adulthood is delayed.
I dont want to go where I'm headed
and I dont want to stay where I am.
A sugared pear candle and an mp3
are all the company I have.
I've drivin everyone else away
with my stupidity and rash decisions.
I blamed you, but you warned me.
Its not your fault anymore.
It was me...

It was...

I liked this...especially the part about the candle and the mp3....well done Alex, but I wish it had a different inspiration...Amor Te.

It's been awhile, since I've seen the way, the candles light your face. It's been a while, but I can still remember just the way you taste! ~StainD

As always you're writing is very intelligent and good. Great work, just try to keep an optimistic outlook on things. I hope to see more of your writing in here. ~Jess

Very powerful, heartfelt piece. I really love this. Especially the lines, "I don't want to go where Im headed, I don't want to stay where I am."
Great job! Hope things look up for you soon.

wow, can I ever relate to this
rash decisions...
they feel so good in the moment.
I know that feeling of driving everyone away.
This was greatly expressed.

I can also relate to this poem.  You did a GREAT job on it, and I really love it.
If you don't mind, I'm going to put it in my library.
