I need the truth

I thought she was one of the kind,
with a lot of friends and boys around,
she's my friend in all these years,
but still I feel I don't know her at all.

For 10 years we've been good mates,
we had good and bad times,
I've heard about her wild life, all the time,
Now I know it’s all just a lie.

You live in a dream,
Tell lies about “your boys”,
Think we all believe in you,
And you keep talking about your fake life.

I now know it’s all a big lie,
I’ve heard the truth, don’t ask how,
I know everything about your life,
I just don’t understand why you did this.

You don’t have any friends except me,
You don’t have any boyfriends except them in our class,
You’ve lied to all of us in all these years,
Tell me; what have you gained of all this?
Tell me; did all these lies, you more happy?

If you just could be your self,
If I could love the real you, as a friend,
If you just could have more confidence,
And stop lying to yourself,

Then I would know who the real you are,
And love you in person, as my good mate for life.

-I wrote this, because I have a very good friend who has so low selfconfidence that she tries to get new friends´s ´by telling lies... Very sad, ha?!, But she's my very very good friend.

Yeah I have a friend like that too, well had a friend. I kept telling her the truth about herself and just kept encorening her and she finally pulled through, and now she is getting her life back on the right track.
Awesome poem.

I have a friend sorta like that. She lied in a way that she was who everyone wanted her to be. I'm very into being differnt and being someone that is thierself and it irriated me that she did this. I confronted her about it and she got defensive(it was mostly on copying me...) but now she's ok with me and wants to be friends. I guess we all have those types of friends.

wow...i can relate alot to this poem,,people sometimes dont like themseleves and they try to change it by lying and i really dont like that,,,its not right,,,,and everything you said sis is all right,,,well keep up the great work...love and respect.,,

Thanks for all of your comments. I just can't stand it anymore!! She lies to me all the time! I know that she's lying, but can't say anything to her, I don't wanna hurt her...
