straight shot.
we cry out to god or memory to wrap us in majesty.
I remember a specific time, when breathing was the last thing on anyones mind.
the focus was on the matinence of our blueness.
some have called it carelessness.

take a confident shot into the black air,
my heart is swollen and wet, so your bound the strike me.
Its july, and I'm freezing, stayed in bed all day just trying to warm myself to the idea.
the primary concern is unattainable now.
you insert your icecubes into my mouth with your skilled and knowing tonuge.

I'm spoon-fed the same medicine daily.
they stroke my skin, like its a new experience, and I need reassurance.
my eyes are a bland shade of yellow, a glazed and heavy look into the mirror.
straight shot to the absolute center.

I remember your name and always try to check out your work.

There is always something electric to find--like this:

"Its july, and I'm freezing, stayed in bed all day just trying to warm myself to the idea.
the primary concern is unattainable now.
you insert your icecubes into my mouth with your skilled and knowing tonuge.

I'm spoon-fed the same medicine daily."

whoa.

Most impressive, Lexy.

I AM a fan.

I have to go with everyone else, I think.  I really liked it. It's one of those that you have to read over again, isn't it? Anyway. I think it's awesome.

wow...it's definitely interesting...in a good way, of course...i liked it a lot...i love the poems with contrasting things such as "it's july and I'm freezing..." again, i thought it was a great piece...although some of it is confusing to me, all around great job!
