I freeze

I choke inside

I feel a rush of heat

To my empty head

I feel the ground spin underneath me

As I hear her blood churning scream

I slowely get up from the ground

I creep into the living room

I see him standing over her

And I feel my stomach lurch

As my lip quivers

He looks up to me

His face is covered

Hiding monstrosity

He drops the knife

He whispers to me

“No-one was meant to be hurt”

Then turns for an exit

I bend down

To the limp excuse for her body

I taste bile in my mouth

And scream

As I see her beautiful face

Distorted and bloody

I couldve been selfish

And think why me

But that wouldn’t be far

Because no-one deserves this

No-one deserves to see their baby sister

Murdered

Brutal and dark.  Kind of like a rose beaten to the bulb.

Very dark, very brooding poem, nicely written.
