“The deadline looms for the mower bidding”

What power words have when only seven
can make a young woman weep and want to crawl
back into her pigtails and the comfort of
her teddy bears and lullaby doll.

Didn’t want praise or a pedestal, just wanted to share
that for a moment the clouds and rain
had disappeared and just like it happens in fairy tales,
the sun beamed a smile and the moon winked a nod
just for me, just for me.

May you and your mower be happy together,
share your Ebay memories in your golden years.
May you rust slowly and always have petrol
and may you fondly remember that little girl
who turned tears into a fair thee well rainbow.
