In a state of limbo

0 posted 2006-02-12 04:30 PM

I struggle to find,
The words to write,
To describe my condition,
To describe my plight,
It would seem as if,
I found the words,
But once again I fail tonight,
I just started school,
And struggle to maintain my cool,
Succumb to
Chain smoking,
Listening to the joking,
Of the voices in my head,
And the relentless merciless poking,
The gnawing sensation,
That something isn’t right,
To important to mention,
Yet to significant not to fight,
I guess now I am a bore,
But it is better than being a whore,
Failure knocks at my door,
But that is what it is there for,
To keep out the cold,
And protect me from harm,
What does the future hold?
Yet the door is breaking down,
I sense the bad karma.
I hate my fate,
I try to make,
What I can of my life,
But what is left leaves me stabbed in the night,
Start again anew,
But all I can do is spew,
My rage across the page,
The number of victims of life is impossible to guage.
I am not alone,
I am not high,
But I am stoned,
And it is time to say goodbye,
Tonight.

I hink that the poem does not do the title justice.
But I do think that is was good!
