HEARTACHES ARE THE MASTERPIECE,
OF SOME FORGOTTEN AGE,
A SENSE OF SPIRIT DEEP INSIDE,
THAT NEVER TURNS THE PAGE.
THE LONLINESS INSIDE OF ME,
REMEMBRANCE OF THE PAST,
THIS TERROR GRIPS MY VERY SOUL,
THE DIE HAS NOW BEEN CAST.

A SEARCH FOR UNKNOWN VIRTUE,
UPON SOME HIGHER GROUND,
THE TRUTH WE FIND COMES FROM WITHIN,
AND RARELY EVER FOUND.
OUR LIFE IS BUT A TRAINING GROUND,
WE LEARN TO PASS THE TEST,
THE PATH OF LEAST RESISTANCE,
MUCH EASIER THAN THE REST.

THE TERMS OF LIFE ARE UNDECLARED,
EACH DAY REMAINS ANEW,
MY CONCEPT OF EXISTANCE,
DEFINES THE WAY I CHOOSE.
THE TRUTH IS AN ENIGMA,
AND RIGHTEOUSNESS SUBLIME,
OUR RULES AND REGULATIONS,
DESCENDED OUT OF TIME.

THIS BATTLE WILL CONTINUE,
THE WAR IS NEVER WON,
LIVING IN REFLECTIONS,
OF PAST EXPERIENCE, GONE.
BRACING NEW ENCOUNTERS,
BOLDLY IN THE BLIND,
TAKING ON THIS THING CALLED LIFE,
ONLY SEEKING PEACE OF MIND.

Seeking peace of mind in or for what you see in the reflection. What is actually in the reflection? He refines like a silver smith refines silver. Until he sees his reflection in it. God bless.

G I S THANKS FOR YOUR COMMENTS. THE REFLECTIONS ARE NOT SOMETHING YOU SEE, BUT SOMETHING THAT YOU FEEL. I TRIED TO BASE THE CONTEXT OF THIS POEM ON EMOTIONAL HEALING AND WELL BEING.

Welcome to PiP~

You have some really nice thoughts in this penning, however, the ALL CAPS are so distracting and difficult to read that they distract from the actual poetry itself~

I've seen several of your writings sprinkled throughout the forums, but with the ALL CAPS formatting, I don't think I can get through them~ Just too hard on the eyes ... and my brain doesn't seem to process that style of writing so well~

You've got some great poetic material to present ... how's about giving the suggestions a try and ditching those CAPS ?

A very good poem - reflection is such a funny thing...you never see/feel exactly the same thing twice, but you can indeed reflect on it so many times,
