She's out cold
Marble beneath her feet
Hair as thick and matted as a horse
With oil and residue of her last trip
Her crystal eyes coy
But blank
And petrified
Tracks running up her arms
As black and blue as fresh bruises

The little princess
In her little gucci dress
And surrounded by
Some not-so-sterile syringes
Waiting to touch down

sometimes no matter what avenue of life you come from you still want out kinda of ironic here she is a princess and can get all she wants but sadness envelops her very soul. good writing

I can tell you've just read Scar Tissue. It does remind me of Scar Tissue, you know... the millionaire who's homeless and using under a bridge. We all have scar tissue. Even the pretty ones who we are extremely jealous of. Kind of...a helpful poem in some ways. Like, being beautiful and stuff isn't everything.
