We don’t seem to understand
When she says,
“It’s been a bad day.”
Her hands are shaking now.

She sits by herself, still,
While everyone surrounds her
It’s as if no one was there.

Sometimes she can’t see her own reflection.

We think it would be so easy,
But she doesn’t agree,
Sometimes, she gets close to tears
“But with that perfect hair,” we won’t say out loud, “she’ll make it through.”

She listens to sad songs all the time,
And reads stories that make her cry,
And as she watches people go missing on TV,

Sometimes she wishes she could too.

She wants to dance in the rain…
With someone nice
Who’d still be there in twenty years,
And teach her how to let her hair down.

She figures there’s no destiny for her,
That she’s here by mistake
And maybe one day, God will realize and take her away.

Sometimes she wouldn’t mind being erased.

Come on God, do I seem bulletproof?

dude, i love you and your writing. i feel so much closer to you when i read your words. it connects me to you in a really sad way, but i feel what your writing. this was so amazing, i gotta save it. this, oh god, im still crying.

i completely agree with lor.
your writing is so awe inspiring and beautiful.
and it is a way to connect with you, in a sad, but also beautiful way. your writing opens you up. it exposes who you are. and it's a beautiful thing to see.
