The bottom of my mind is polished marble,
Easy to slip and slide,
And above me as I sit inside there,
Silence, with it’s addictive sound,
Is broken.

The hollow dripping of my blood,
Forms a film of red,
The marble is disappearing,
And I am drowning, sinking,
Slipping and sliding.

In these thoughts as they flood my mind.

Empty brown eyes flicker open,
Mind is overflowing with blood red thoughts,
Seeping out of my eyes,
Mistaken for tears,
…Flicker shut

Painted on interest disintegrates,
Lips quiver with anxiety.

Bitten by a haunting idea,
The poisoned blood red thoughts spread,
Through the bruised looking veins,
Shake my head,
Shake my head,
Flicker open, Flicker shut.

Passing wave, no need for me anymore,
Too many thoughts
Too many ideas,
Too many questions,
Too much blood to pore, in one sitting.

I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad. The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had. - Gary Jules, Mad World.

WOW! I love the
"The bottom of my mind is polished marble,
Easy to slip and slide..." part. that is so cool that you could even think of wording it like that, then to have so much detail with it...I love it, Awesome job!

When the marble slips away insanity sets in.  Nice work.

I liked this, describes when an obsession of ideas flood in and take control.  Flows nice and holds together, when I write I usually jump around too much.
