No one has noticed,
The tears I’ve bled
Because I shed them all alone.
No one has seen,
The way I hide
Because I’m hidden.
I’m starting to wonder if anyone,
Has noticed anything
Wrong,
Or do I conceal
It all so well
When I crawl away each day.

My mind feels empty and it wanders far
When I cast my gaze to oblivion
All I see is the white
When I know it is black all around
And then I focus
The black comes into view
I was lost for a while
No matter,
I know my place,
And can feel the walls again
Instead of wandering in circles
Instead of seeing new things
When I know I have seen them before.

When I lose my place like that
My head becomes my world, my forever
Don’t rock the boat.
The dark seeps through the pages,
The blots of ink, of thought
They disappear, and the white is my empty.
I can feel the roughness of the darkness
It holds me tight,
But with nothing behind my forehead
There is nothing to colour my world,
And nothing to see but white.
I must be blind
No.
Because I can see
When they turn off my light, my sky, my world
Because I can see
When they take me back to reality
Because I can see
When they wake me up
To this blackened world.

(Author's note, To me this is three poems. Three different poems, but I wrote them as one. I suppose it is about that empty feeling in my head. Well let me know what you think.)

Hollow Emtienss, thank you for writing this.  I needed to see something like it and it describes my situation perfectly.  I keep backslidding and I do need to stop.  Black and white, do or don't.  Thank you.

Courtney:

this is brilliant!

When I lose my place like that
My head becomes my world, my forever
Don’t rock the boat.
The dark seeps through the pages,
The blots of ink, of thought
They disappear, and the white is my empty.
I can feel the roughness of the darkness
It holds me tight,

My God, yes!  Sometimes a lil'
scary going into myself in that way
beautiful writing . . .
