Listening to every heart

Konrad Continues Talking

Remember of layers,
those moments when light comes between
shadows and crimsons
where divisions come between greens
and grays

and the poet spoke

and remember not me,
but only of who you are

and I was blinded by the colors
still, hearing the voice,
absorbing, like a sponge, those moments where sound
surrounded me, and yet I heard naught
but the sounds of wind
in my heart
and the circles of the seas

and I lost myself, and lost my voice,
and in losing all of this,
a touch upon the wind
said

this is where you need to be,
here, with me,
come, and I shall show you
all I have lost,
and yet, all I have to hope for,
for if there should be one who would adventure,
to find me again,
then all is not lost,
and all is as should be

and from that moment on,
I chose not to shut out the sounds
but opened my soul
that all who would enter,
would know they were welcome

and the travails
would be written
for nothing can
stop nothing,
if a tomorrow is to be found.

Sigh....Sigh....Sigh...

LOL where did you say he was???

lovely  this lovely you

I would rather have one breath of his hair,
one kiss of his mouth,
one touch of his hand
than an eternity without it.

Oh my, Karilea.....this is so beautiful...
and this ending just sets it off...

and the travails
would be written
for nothing can
stop nothing,
if a tomorrow is to be found.

And, those photos are breathtaking!!
Thank you, SunshineyOne, for sharing them.

Happy Holidays,

Ethel

You continue to find the most amazing phrasing for communicating your heartsong.
I always come to feel a need to go back to "Remedial poetry for the illiterate."  lol
Well done.  KJ

A cruise suits you!  Was waiting for Konrad to stop talking but seeing that is never going to happen I better at least tell you I read what he says LOL, and enjoy it too!

... and I've lost my voice and my train of thought. The pictures and the words have taken my breath away and left me completely speechless. Dear lady, only you can do this to me.

and I was blinded by the colors
still, hearing the voice,
absorbing, like a sponge, those moments where sound
surrounded me, and yet I heard naught
but the sounds of wind
in my heart
and the circles of the seas

Ahhhh!  Unbelievable words. What a treasure this is. More, more ....

Love ya, Marti

Afternoon Kari.  To the thoughts I expressed to ya yesterday about these Konnie stories, please add the following...
Your line breaks in here are pretty damn perfect.  This write defines what I attain to in free verse at times.  I could 'study' it, if ya know what I mean.
This journey has taken on a personal tone that adds a dimension which you just skirted around before.  Don't it feel great?!?!
Again, the pictures set a tone...which the words, the colors, the emote...then hold true from beginning to end, chapter through chapter.
I'm loving these Kari/coffee combos starting my day!

sometimes the things which speak to us are from deeper places than even the bottom of waves... Konrad has found that place in you.. and the voice you speak with now is indeed one from someplace you rarely have written from in the past..

well done my friend..
