Too Short

my heart
betrays me
so I sit flat
against the floor
and invite my
best friends; words
to come and play
discovering some letters
grouped together
do not make sense
how come
something so limited
be so unlimited
ache seems
too short
to form
this deep emotion

or siting
on the edge
of a cold bed
with scraps of words
gathered in a corner
by a candle light

the black india ink
is a poor lover
but at least loosens
the knots of a
solitary day
ended
