Prints in pause of paws pristine
upon the snowy trail of night.
Before the fluff of popping corn
on winged sails of diamond’s plight.

The hare that met the hungry hound,
the birds that pooped the snowy ledge.
Squirrels that frolicked in her abound
beyond the green of once shorn hedge.

A cocoa cup, a pair of bees
a book of words to blend the thought.
A journey through the naked trees
to see what was the priest had wrought.

A million bucks of fun filled smiles
a giggle from the south to north.
To far to walk those chilling miles
on legs of old for all their worth.

A Christmas hug, a jolly wink
while from her sight the bag is stole
And now she laughs, but did not think
when from the screen a snow ball rolled.

The splat was heard from miles away
as water dripped from a raised lid.
And from the skies she heard him say
"You cannot win against this kid!"

Merry Christmas To You!!!!

Enjoyed this look at Christmas time...and remember many of your scenes as played out by my own family when younger.

Merry Christmas, Barry
