I could die again today
And though my flesh was made of clay
I’d simply feel stains of you
Tarnish me again.

I could go and I could stay
But no matter, there is not a way
For me to escape your
Ever glowing eyes.

Stains of you
Paranormal
Supernatural
Still informal ways
To say you care.

When I fall
And gasp today
Tarnish me
To feel you
Close beside.

He was a man of sorrows
...I am a girl of tears.

Loved this. Damn, I love it.
Okay, yeah, I'll keep it.

I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly dreaming I am a man.

koko,
I'm honored thanks...
Its a rather confusing write unless you have a good imagination I suppose. When I wrote it I was thinking of God giving me humility... but I imagine it can be many strange things lol

GG -- I love your style of writing.  Very brilliant way to use "tarnish."  We all get tarnished at one time or another, I think. It is the poet who is able to put that universal connection cleverly on paper and perhaps begin the "polishing" process for even more than one.  Thanks.

iliana,
wow didn't expect to see this poem back up on the top, thank you. I agree that we all do get tarnished, usually several times... but when we start accepting it then real change can happen. I feel complimented lol, thank you very much

Amy,
You're so sweet, I'm glad you enjoyed this thank you.
