With a flurry of snow
it all changes course
for us,

the unborn rose never
offered a guarantee
of delivery,

how can it
when love is shrouded
in such secrecy?

under the same sky,

snow forms
white lace patterns
on the lustful grass,

or strikes with
with the punch
of an avalanche,

i lay your rose to rest,

pressed between pages
of bittersweet sonnets,

looking skyward
again, undefeated,

i don't require
the guise of
a parasol

"snow forms
white lace patterns
on the lustful grass,"

Good for you!  I admire your strength!  This was so bittersweet, but so very lovely.

Your disappointment, though unmasked, reveals a face of determination and strength. Enjoyed.
