They taunt you
you see them laughing,
pointing at you,
as if you're not there.

There's nothing wrong with you
they're not perfect
but you still feel,
as if you're the only one,
who's different.

All your friends are normal,
no one ridicules them.
But you're a different story.

Your life is a joke,
to the ones who judge.
But you're better than that.
Don't think of their cruel words.
You're better than that,
you know that words hurt.

You know what life's like,
from behind a glass box.

Your poem is something that should be written

You touch on a subject people would like to see swept under a carpet like the Caste system that labels people as untouchable and makes people turn away

Peer pressure -- a terrible thing.  I think I'll save this for my son.  You know, what goes around always comes back around.  Thanks.

Yes I do, sister.  Um, err...brother.  This reminds me of the commercial asking, "Do you suffer social anxiety?".  I've found that salt and the right medication can cure even what others think!  ha!

Seriously, there are more judgers than judgees in this world, I think, and many of us need to realize that judging should be left in another's hands, not our own.  If only people could figure that out!

We do feel as tho we are in a glass box in many ways, at work, in relationships,,,etc,,,and yes when taunted, we feel as if we were the only ones to ever hear such things about us,,,,
Very well done
Michelle

Yes, dinky, I like this poem very much.
A lot of truth to it.
