The Point of Know Return

0 posted 2004-01-14 05:27 PM

I stumbled upon visionaries in the sand
am I there?
I'm not here
but can you see me there?
look a little farther
I'm in the shadows
picking myself apart

I am the dormant fool
               damned fool
               defeated fool
               dead fool
               emerged-once-more-
               to-die-again fool
               love-me-and-ill-go-home fool

the road unwinds in circles
this long, strange trip
but GOD can't save me now--
i am the dormant fool

The world can be a crowded place. When you are trying to aspire or leap forward you can sometimes feel shadowed and placed back into the corner. I enjoyed this read. Thanks for sharing.
